Flying into Managua International Airport:
American, Continental, Delta, Spirit Air, Taca, AeroMexico, and
Copa all fly into Managua International Airport from the US, Canada,
and Latin America. Check our Travelocity link to find the best
price for your dates.
If you are planning on traveling with surf boards or golf clubs
please check with your airline prior to booking. Some airlines
have embargos on surf boards and other sports equipment during
certain times of the year.
If you have a late arrival or an early departure you will need
to stay the night in Managua. We recommend Hotel Camino Real which
is located right across the street from the airport. It is a safe,
convenient, and comfortable hotel with a pool, bar, casino, and
restaurant. If you want to be closer to restaurants, shops, and
nightlife, we recommend staying close to the Metro Centro area
of Managua. Hotel Intercontinental, Hilton, and the Seminole Hotel
are the large, full service hotel chains in this area. For a more
affordable and family run hotel option we recommend the Hotel
Los Pinos.
Airport Shuttle:
There is an airport shuttle available for transportation between
the Managua International Airport and the Nicaragua Surf Condos.
We highly recommend taking advantage of this convenient option,
as it can save you both travel time and money. The shuttle accommodates
surf boards no problem, and the average price is US $120 each
way. If you choose the shuttle option, make sure to book it at
the same time you book your Nicaragua Surf Condo.

There are several rental car companies including Budget, Avis,
Hertz, Alamo, and Dollar with offices at the airport in Managua.
